A new client, Mma Pekwane, comes to Mma Romotswe saying she suspects that the car her husband bought was stolen. She offers some creative advice to her new client, which involves becoming involved in auto theft, which is bound to lead to disaster. Meanwhile, Mma Makutsi embarks on her first case as Assistant Detective, which turns out to be more eventful than expected - involving an undercover operation, which leads to a high-speed car chase!
